About Made Visible

Many people struggle to access information, support, wellbeing resources or opportunities because of financial barriers, social disadvantage, disability, caring responsibilities or simply not knowing where to turn.

Our role is not to replace specialist services. Instead, we aim to make support easier to find, create resources that are freely accessible, and develop projects that help people feel seen, valued and included.

As a small organisation, we work project-by-project, focusing our time and resources where we believe they can have the greatest community benefit.

As a registered and regulated CIC, any surplus generated through our activities is reinvested into future projects and community impact.

Made Visible Was Founded From Lived Experience

“As a single parent navigating low-income, chronic health conditions and a late neurodivergent diagnosis as well as disability, I experienced first-hand how difficult it can be to access support, reliable information and opportunities. Like many people, I found myself balancing parenting, work, financial pressure and health challenges while trying to navigate complex systems that often felt confusing, overwhelming and difficult to access.

Having felt alone, invisible and under supported, it wasn’t until recent years that I became increasingly aware that many people face similar barriers. Just like I had, many manage to hide and mask their struggles in public and as a result aren’t offered help.

Valuable support does exist, but it is often fragmented, difficult to find, or presented in ways that can be hard to navigate when someone is already under significant stress or struggling with their health.

Made Visible was created to help address that gap.

The organisation aims to bring together information, resources, heritage and community projects that help people feel seen, informed and connected. Whether exploring overlooked women's history, supporting families through financial pressures, or creating wellbeing resources for people experiencing burnout, the goal remains the same: to make people, stories and struggles more visible.

While the organisation was inspired by personal experience, its focus is on creating projects that can benefit a wider community and help others access information, support and opportunities more easily.”
